She and I have been friends since our medical internships. We have experienced many tough night shifts together and have honed our skills as pediatricians. She later chose to specialize in neonatology, and I chose to specialize in cardiology, and we have been friends for over 20 years now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although we walked a different path as we selected a different subspecialty of Pediatrics, we have been in a good relationship for a long time as friends. We traveled abroad together, enjoyed beauty treatments, gourmet food, shopping, and had a lot of fun girl talk. She gave a speech on behalf of our friends at my wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is strict with herself and tolerant of others. She speaks both English and French fluently, as if they were her native tongue. A hard worker with kindness and a spirit of service, she has chosen to work at UNICEF. As a doctor, a woman, and a friend, I am incredibly proud of her decision.
Dr. Kitamura is passionate about maternal and child health programs in impoverished areas of the world and continues to work tirelessly on behalf of Japan. You’ll have the opportunity to meet her at our hospital!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
